I have been using my sons metal detector for the the last week with some success. We got it for him at a yard sale several years ago. But being a teenager he is too worried about who might see him using it. Being in my early 50's I have managed to get past that issue much to my wifes chagrin.
The one thing that I have noted is that I have not found any silver yet. I live close to a senoirs trailer park & I think that they probably picked the area clean. I wasn't too sure how good a unit this Micronta is but with finding the 2 dimes today in about 4's of dirt, its pretty good. A basic unit but without any of the fancy bells & whistles found on many newer units. Makes the learning curve short & sweet by digging everything. Many bottle caps, pull tabs, cans & yes car parts.
